Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on the east side of Columbia lies one of our towns best-kept secrets; not intentionally however. Well into its third season, the Open Borders Music Series has been consistently bringing some of the best folk and Americana artists in the country to Columbia's premier listening room located at 2615 Shepherd Blvd. (Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia) An acoustically sound room, it comfortably seats over 100 guests while seasoned performers indulge in fine storytelling, guitar picking, in an artist/fan dedicated performance of a lifetime.

This newly created co-op collective includes the likes of Ursus Arctos (formerly known as Kodiak), Nonreturner (formerly known as Barn Owl), Palisades, The Pale Family/The Makeouts, In Dark Trees and Burger Kingdom (AKA Umbros). So far there have been five releases on the Yards and Gods label, including the "Yards and Gods Compilation Vol. I", "The Nonreturner", by Nonreturner, and three albums entitled, "Skin", "Easily Forgotten Vol. I" and "Have Gone Static", by In Dark Trees.
