Bio: The FLETCH & FRO Blues Band is certainly more than just Fletch and Fro . In fact they are considering new names for the group that reflect their evolution and put their rough and ready , sledghammer , rusty razor style of blues accross . The Band is comprised of Rich Froeschner , bassman , also the groups soundman and the closest thing they have to a manager , Charley Waddill , on drums , Scott McCullough , their harpman and Keith Fletcher , lead vocals and guitar ...... The Fletch and Fro Blues Band evolved out of a side project for Rich and Keith , when Rich approached Keith to start a little duo to host blues jams at local clubs catering to blues lovers . Rich was playing in a band called the JR&B Project and was also busy promoting and running sound for several of the area club jam sessions . Nobody loves jam sessions more than Rich does . Keith was already in two bands himself , fronting his own one man band as Mr. Fletcher's One Man Blues Band and performing at blues festivals between the larger bands , and at restaurants and parties , street festivals county fairs and so on . And , he also played guitar for another Columbia group , Big Medicine , a roots rock band who recently played in the Columbia Missouri , Blues Roots and BBQ Festival . Speaking of Big Medicine , while hosting a particular jam session one evening they were joined by Charley Waddill , the drummer from Big Medicine , as their featured guest musician . Well , it was an immediate match and Charley Waddill was no longer a guest , but joined the group as their permanent drummer , making Fletch and Fro a blues power trio . A trio , that was until Scott McCullough , another highly respected Columbia musician of note , sat in with them and BLUE the reeds out of a harmonica . Not literally , though it could have happend . That was it ! The one-time pick-up band , was now a full fledged blues playing machine that had heart and lungs and blood vessels and fingers and feet and passion and everthing else a good blues band has to have . The band's bread and butter is classic blues . You know .... Howlin Wolf to Muddy Waters to even a little Jimi Hendrix ... all done their own way , of course . It's pretty much the same thing that Mr. Fletcher plays in his one man band , only bigger and louder and with the energy of four full grown working men , and all their life experiences behind it . They don't claim to be pretty , but their music is . They play their blues to cut through the night like an axe and hit you in the chest like a sledge hammer . Come see them . Want to know more ?
